Volunteer for WAAC!

Join our volunteer team and be part of the amazing community putting our events on! From handing out postcards to booth marking and traffic directing, our volunteers are the reason our artists shine all weekend long.

Summer Show Volunteer Jobs:

Distribute Postcards

Monday prior to the show (2-hr shifts)

​

Take 50 postcards and one flier to the front desk of each hotel in a designated area.

Traffic Assistance

Friday 5:45 PM - 8:00 PM  (2-hr shifts) 
Sunday 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (2-hr shifts)

 
Volunteers help direct artist vehicles during the show set-up.

Booth Marking

Friday 12:30 PM - 7:00 PM (2-hr shifts)


Volunteers help mark artist booths. Maps, tape measures, and instructions provided.  

Information Booth

Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM  (2-hr shifts) 
Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM  (2-hr shifts)

 
Volunteers hand out programs, assist in assigning booth sitters and answer guest questions. 

Info Booth Setup

Friday 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM (2-hr shifts)

 
Volunteers work with staff to set-up the Information Booth.

Booth Sitter

Saturday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (2-hr shifts)
Sunday 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (2-hr  shifts) 


Volunteers give our artists a break from their booths. Typically, a break is 30 min at the most. You will watch the booth and inform customers when the artist will return.

Winter Show Volunteer Jobs:

Young Collector's Corner Setup

Saturday 7 AM - 9 AM
Volunteers set up the Young Collectors’ Corner and create attractive displays.

Silent Auction

Friday 3 PM - 5 PM
Volunteers set up the Silent Auction by covering tables, setting up displays, and arranging the art pieces as they are donated.

Saturday 7AM - 9 AM
Volunteers pick up donations from artists and arrange them in the Silent Auction area. Collection of items may continue even after the show is open.

Saturday 3 PM - 5 PM
Volunteers confirm final bids, contact winners, wrap items, and direct people to check out. A flurry of activity occurs at the end of the auction.

Tear Down Help

Sunday 4 PM - 7 PM (2-hr shifts) 

Volunteers check artists’ booths to make sure they are completely packed up before presenting them with a ready-to-go ticket that allows them to bring their vehicle into the building. Volunteers also remove refuse left behind, assist artists who may be struggling to get their displays packed up, and help load displays and totes into our designated vehicles.

Volunteers sell artwork to children and keep track of sales on forms provided. Having teen volunteers help the kids make their selection is more comfortable for our young collectors.

Sunday 3 PM - 5 PM
Volunteers return the sales envelopes and artwork to the artists as instructed by the coordinator.

Information Booth

Friday 2 PM - 6 PM (2 hr shifts)
Volunteers work with staff to set-up the Information Booth.

Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM (2-hr shifts) 
Sunday 10 AM - 4 PM (2-hr shifts)
Volunteers dispense information, make announcements, and assign booth sitters.

Ticket Table

Saturday 8:30 AM - 4 PM (2-hr shifts) 
Sunday 10 AM - 3 PM (2-hr shifts) 

Volunteers collect entry fees and coupons for admission. A key volunteer will be on-site to answer questions and train ticket-takers. This job can be very busy during peak hours.
